چکیده

Underway replenishment is essential for ships performing long-term missions at sea, which can be formulated into the problem of leader-tracking configuration. Not only position and orientation but also velocities are required to controlled ensuring synchronization; additionally, control inputs constrained. On this basis, in paper, a novel synchronization controller on account model predictive (MPC) dynamic positioning (DP) devised achieve underway replenishment. Firstly, based MPC ensure not velocities; furthermore, it beneficial solution its advantages handling input constraints ignored most studies Secondly, neurodynamic optimization system applied implementation MPC, improve computational efficiency shorten simulation time. Thirdly, stability, frequently neglected by traditional ensured means adding terminal cost function exported from Lyapunov equation objective function. Finally, effectiveness proposed design illustrated extensive simulations.

Fuzzy Control of Dynamic Positioning Systems for Ships

In this paper we consider the control problem of Dynamic Positioning Systems for Ships (DPSS). It interests as a case which study in nonlinear controller design because the model exhibits nonlinear interaction in three degrees of freedom (surge, sway, and yaw) by means of main propellers aft of the ship. The DPSS system considered in this paper is modeled by a Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) type fuzzy mod...

Passivity-based control applied to the dynamic positioning of ships

A family of passivity-based controllers for dynamic positioning of ships is presented. The authors exploit the idea of shaping the energy function of the closed-loop system to obtain different formulations of the passivity-based control law using the interconnection and damping assignment-passivity-based control (IDA-PBC) methodology. A salient feature of this study is that the proposed control...

Optimization-based control of diesel-electric ships in dynamic positioning

Recent advances in computer hardware and algorithms make it possible to consider more computationally demanding control methods, allowing more effective exploitation of the equipment under control. This thesis explores new ways of controlling ships (or other marine vessels) that are designed to keep a predetermined position and heading automatically exclusively by the means of their thrusters –...

Dynamic Model Predictive Control

In this paper an alternative approach to model predictive control is presented. In traditional MPC a finite horizon open loop optimal control problem is solved in each sampling instance. When uncertainties such as computational delays are present, one can encounter problems. We propose to parametrize the control sequence in each sampling instant in terms of a linear feedback controller, i.e. in...
